Paper Bag Horse Craft Supplies

  • Brown paper bag

  • Black cardstock paper (You can use construction piece of paper, however cardstock is a bit more firm especially if children are going to use to play with!)

  • White Cardstock paper

  • Brown cardstock paper

  • double sided tape

  • scissors

  • black marker / black sharpie

You do not need template pieces on this one because the cut outs are relatively straight forward and simple.  I did not include a traced patterns sheet, because this one is so easy to customize.  You could allow kids of all ages to cut their own hair, ears, nose and legs and its an excellent way to work on hand eye coordination.

Step-By-Step Instructions for Paper Bag Horse Craft:

Step 1: Cut out the horse ears, hair and mouth.

Step 2: Cut two circles in the white and black cardstock. The white circles should be slightly larger than the black to create a more pronounced horses eye for this farm animal crafts.

Step 3: Use double sided tape or hot glue gun to adhere the horse hair, ears, eyes and nose to the paper bag. Be sure you are using the flap of the brown paper bag up to attached the horse items.

Step 4: Cut out black almond shapes nostrils an adhere to the horses face.

Step 5: Cut two rectangular shapes in brown cardstock and adhere to the bottom of the bag.
