Fall Leaf Puppet Craft Supplies:

As an amazon associate, I earn a small commission based on purchases made through these affiliate links at no additional cost to you.  This is one of the autumn crafts we make many times during the magic of autumn because it requires minimal supplies and is loads of fun for little artists.  There is little adult supervision required for this craft idea especially if the child's age is older.

  • Faux fall leaves

  • Googly eyes

  • Glue - I would recommend hot glue gun vs a glue stick so that the leaf puppets will last through a lot of pretend play

  • Popsicle sticks

  • (optional: Black permanent marker for mouth)

Directions for Leaf People Stick Puppet Craft:

Place a small strip of glue on the end of a popsicle stick.

Attach the popsicle stick to the back of a faux leaf. Repeat this process for the number of leaf puppets you want to make. Set aside to dry. (Be careful not to put too much weight on it or it could stick to the paper or surface underneath.)

Turn the popsicle leaf puppet over to the front. Place two dots of glue on the leaf and carefully place the googly eyes on the glue. Set aside to dry.

Use the black marker to draw a mouth on each leaf if desired.

Allow the child time to engage and play with their leaf puppets to get into the fall spirit.
